Virginia Fedele DeLouis

October 17, 1926 — March 7, 2015

DeLOUIS VIRGINIA FEDELE September 17, 1926 to March 7, 2015. Virginia (Jeannie) DeLouis, sweetheart to her husband of 67 years, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2015, in Las Vegas where she lived with her daughter, Ginny. She was a 63 year resident of McKees Rocks. Virginia was preceded in death by her son, Pete; and is survived by her husband, Mark; her brother, Joe Fedele; her children, Nancy, Tricia, Mark, Anna, Ginny and Joe; grandchildren, Christy, Tony, Joshua, Jamie, Mathew, Joseph, Daniel, and Bear; and great-grandson, Cameron. Virginia had a gentle spirit and will be missed by all who knew her. She loved and supported her family above all. She had an endearing smile which touched the hearts of everyone she met. She grew up on a small farm in Wilkinsburg and had many stories about helping her Italian parents pick and package the vegetables and fruit to sale and of making wine to drink. Prior to marriage Virginia worked in banking. Then she was swept off her feet by a handsome fellow who played the accordion at her company's Christmas Party and was happily married for 67 years. Her married years were spent raising her children and supporting her family. She found time to teach Sunday school at St. Mary's Church and loved and always remembered the names of the children she taught and they remembered her through the years. When Virginia thought that her children were old enough to care for themselves, she enjoyed working in the accounting department at Horne's Department Store for eight years. There is a void in our hearts but we are at peace that Virginia lived a good life and is now with the angels and reunited with her parents and son. Family and friends received on FRIDAY, March 13, 2015, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME INC., 1225 Chartiers Ave., McKees Rocks, where prayers will be offered at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John of God Parish, St. Mary's Church at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
