Vera M. Caliguiri

Of Kennedy Twp., with loving family by her side she passed on Saturday, October 8, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Frank Braun and Fred Caliguiri; loving mother of Celeste (Dominic) Welsh, Rege Braun and the late Raymond Braun; dear grandmother of Evan (Rachel) Welsh and  Kylie Welsh; great grandmother of Milo; sister of Marlene (Ron) Maglin, Vince (Shirley) Leonard and the late Marian Leonard, Gloria DiCenzo and Violet Burisin. Family will receive friends WEDNESDAY 10:00 am until 12:45 pm at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 334 Forest Grove Rd., Kennedy Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 1:00 PM WEDNESDAY in St. Malachy Church. We all have a loving memory of Vera and throughout her life she acted selflessly giving all of herself to caring and providing for others. Her culinary acumen remains legendary and lives on through recipes passed down to her family and friends; though we never seem to make those foods as well as she, we honor her with the effort.  Kennedy half-dollars given to so many young family members and friends float among us as amulets symbolizing her durable, loving generosity.  Though we will miss her greatly, we will remember her kindness, humor and saintliness always.
