Sylvia Janosov

Of Robinson Twp., formerly of Penn Hills and Braddock, died peacefully on Thursday, January 11, 2018. Beloved wife of Michael for 50 years; daughter of the late Catherine and Frank Vincunas; loving mother of Michelle Pearson (Anderson), Michael Janosov III, Cheryl Ann Sherwood (Raymond) and Mary Kathryn Scaggs (Jeffrey); grandmother of Sarah and Adam Scaggs and Liam Sherwood; Sister of Madeline Vincunas, the late Lois Smith, Mary Anne Solka, Catherine Van Wyck, Phyllis Woody, Justine Hanson, Jeannine Ramsay, Frank Vincunas and Jacqueline Vincunas; Aunt to many nieces and nephews and their children. Sylvia was a graduate of Divine Providence Academy, attended Duquesne University and taught elementary school in the Catholic Dioceses before raising a family. Sylvia was the most loyal and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend that anyone could have hoped for and we were fortunate to be blessed with such a kind, caring and wise woman. She will be greatly missed by her husband, family and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 PM SUNDAY, January 14, 2018 at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 334 Forest Grove Rd., Kennedy Twp. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM MONDAY, January 15, 2018 in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Robinson with entombment in Resurrection Cemetery, Moon Twp.
