Sue C. Martonik

Sue, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, October 27. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Albert Martonik, and her daughter Susan (Anthony) Susie. Sue was born in Brookville, PA and attended Clarion University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1958. She taught second grade in the Montour School District and belonged to Montour Education Association, Pennsylvania State Education and National Education Association. Sue was also a member of the Clarion University Alumni Association. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Zula Buzard, as well as her sister-in-law, Mary Shaukowitch and her brothers-in-law, Joseph, John and George Martonik. In addition to her husband, daughter and son-in-law, she is survived by her sisters-in-law, Helen Struss and Josephine DeSano, as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received on THURSDAY from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 334 Forest Grove Rd., Kennedy Twp., where prayers will be held on FRIDAY at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Malachy Church at 10 AM. "Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Sue had taken Jesus Christ for her Model and Guide and promise to be faithful to Him."
