Of Stowe Township passed away on January 6, 2018 at the age of 70. Beloved husband of Annette (Oriolo) Truax. Ryan passed away peacefully after a long battle with rectal cancer. He was the son of the late Junior and Joanne (Riser) Truax. Ryan is  survived by his daughter Christa (Truax) Brown and his grandchildren Tyler and Zachary Brown. He is also survived by sister Sandra Sockman (late Jim), brother Mark Truax (Kathy), sister Jean Cross (Wayne), late brother David Truax and brother-in-law Vincent and sister-in-law Cynthia Oriolo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He came to Pittsburgh from Cambridge, Ohio in 1990. He owned and operated PostNet, a business and postal center in the Kenmawr Plaza from 1994 to 2005. Ryan enjoyed the little things in life and especially loved helping others. He was a kind, considerate and loving person. He always put his wife, family and friends first before himself. He enjoyed all sports especially golfing. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his weekly golf outings with his friends. He also enjoyed going to Pittsburgh Pirate games with his wife, relatives and friends. He has many bowling trophies and won a tournament with a 300 score in bowling. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, family and friends.  Friends and family may visit THURSDAY, 2-6 PM at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 334 Forest Grove Rd., Kennedy Twp., where a Blessing Service will be held FRIDAY, 10:00 AM, followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St Malachy Church (343 Forest Grove Rd., Coraopolis, PA 15108).
