Robert G. Wilt, Sr.

72, of Verona, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2022.  He was the son of the late Robert L. and Ida (Halldin) Wilt; beloved husband of over 47 years to Josephine M. (Rossi) Wilt; loving father of Robert G. Wilt, Jr. and the late David A. Pollak; brother of Nancy (Bill) Huggins, Richard (Yvonne) Wilt and Tim (Laurie) Wilt.  Bob is also survived by brother-in-law, Fr. Robert Rossi and sister-in-laws, Mary Pat (Dan) Campbell and Linda (Gary) Goodfellow; and many nieces and nephews. 

Bob proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for over 35 years.  Having traveled all over the world with the military, he served two tours of duty in Iraq and retired in 2010 as Chief Master Sergeant, from Air Base 911.  Bob was a family man who always put his family first.  Together, they were avid RV’rs and always enjoyed traveling and seeing what our country had to offer.  He especially loved their trips to Las Vegas.   Bob was a devoted sports fan, but especially that of his Pittsburgh teams. 

Bobby was a good soul and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.  His siblings will miss their beloved “Worm”.

Arrangements are private and entrusted to McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
