Robert L. Smith

Robert L. Smith, 63, of Robinson Township, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away in his sleep Wednesday morning, August 17, 2016.

Loving husband of Penelope (Narcisi) Smith. Proud father of Lauren Setter (Craig) and Mallory Smith (fiancé - Mark Spirnak). Adoring grandfather of Lina Setter. Brother to Carla Torrelli (Jim), Karen Custard (Dwayne), Rick Smith, Ron Smith (Terri), and Colleen Wilwohl (John).  Brother-in-law to Gretchen Jackowski (Paul) and Earldine Greer (John).  He is also survived by his many cherished nieces and nephews, and was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Smith, and parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Narcisi.

Born April 18,1953 in Erie (PA), Bob was a First Team All-City running back (#44) at Erie Cathedral Prep, Class of 1971, and he also starred in football at Thiel College, Class of 1975.

As a partner in his company, Sales Marketing Group, Bob not only excelled in business but was a trusted friend to his many co-workers, customers and colleagues.  He will be remembered for his ability to make anyone smile, his positive attitude, his unique sense of humor, his willingness to help, and his larger than life personality. He loved music, Penny's cooking paired with a good Cabernet, the holidays, coaching girls' soccer, manicuring his lawn and driving his jet boat too fast on Conneaut Lake.  He was a true family man and "guy's guy" who never passed up an opportunity for a good time; whether that be shopping with his daughters, reminiscing with his many friends and family members, kicking a soccer ball in the back yard, or the special relationship he formed as "Bobby" with his granddaughter.
