Robert M. Rosensteel Jr.

August 2, 1947 – July 8, 2021

Robert M. Rosensteel, Jr., passed away peacefully on Thursday July 8, 2021. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Patricia Rosensteel (Wild), his son Shawn (Deborah) Rosensteel, and his daughter Shanna (John) Sweeney. He is also survived by his three wonderful grandchildren Logan, Kiera, and Jace Rosensteel, as well as his step-grandson Ben Sweeney. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert M. Rosensteel, Sr. and Gladys M. Rosensteel. Robert also leaves behind sister-in-law Jeanette (Ed) Matelan and Cathy (Jeff) Fodor, brother-in-law Anthony (Pam) Wild, numerous extended family members, many friends, and his beloved dog Snowy, who was always by his side. As well as his other two buddies Rocco and Penny.

Robert was born in Rochester, Pa. He and his wife, Pat, raised their family in Kennedy Twp. for almost 40 years and for the last few years resided in Moon Twp. Robert was a volunteer firefighter for 25 years and is a lifetime member of the Kennedy Township Volunteer Fire Department. Robert loved to travel, especially with his family. He enjoyed every opportunity to spend time with family during the holidays, birthdays, and other special occasions.  He was always sideline cheering on his children and grandchildren during their countless activities.  One of his favorite past times is spending time relaxing with his faithful companion, Snowy. He was a kind, loving and selfless man who will be missed by many.

Family and friends are welcome Wednesday July 14, 2021 between the hours of 2-4 and 6-8 pm at McDermott Funeral Home in Kennedy Twp, 334 Forest Grove Rd. Coraopolis, Pa 15108. A blessing service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday July 15, 2021 at 10 am.  Followed by entombment at North Side Catholic Cemetery/Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery on Cemetery Lane.
