Mildred Romanchak

On Saturday, January 22, 2011, at age 87 of Robinson Twp., but presently residing with her two daughters Christy and Debbie in California, left to be in her eternal home with Jesus. She was the dear daughter of Samuel and Anna Sokol; beloved wife of 62 years of deceased Milton; dedicated mother of Christine Romanchak, Karen Grant (James), Debra Kossler (Mary Baker) and Joseph Romanchak (Cynthia); loving Grandma/Babba of Amy, Christopher, Beth, Anastasia, Jesse and Shannon; great-grandma of Grant Bruce, Maxwell Aaron, Hudson Christopher; she was the sister of the late Pearl Shapert, Helen Glinicki, Samuel, John, Michael, and Peter Sokol. She will be remembered and missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. As a youngster she enjoyed being involved in her church and Ukrainian Dancing and as a teenager a cheerleader. Mildred worked as a secretary until she become a mother and dedicated her life to making her home a place of love. Friends and family will be received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at MCDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 334 Forest Grove Road, Kennedy Twp., and a Memorial Service will be held Saturday, at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Meadowlark Church, 1918 Redwing Street, San Marcos, California 92078, or Alliance Christian Fellowship, Pastor Aaron Henning, 413 Weymouth Circle, State College, PA 16803.
