Michael Dobda

Age 97, of Kennedy Twp., passed on Friday, December 7, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Lovey (Onyshkow) Dobda; loving father of Deborah Dobda and Susan Kovacic (John); brother of the late John and Steve Dobda; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Dobda, a veteran of World War II, served with the 9th Air Force as a B-26 Pilot. His plane was shot down on February 13, 1945. He was captured and was a P.O.W. until the end of the war. He worked for 43 years at the Pittsburgh Forgings Company in Coraopolis.  He loved softball, bowling and enjoyed traveling.

Family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 PM THURSDAY at the McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 334 Forest Grove Rd., Kennedy Twp., where prayers are offered 10 AM FRIDAY, followed by burial with Military Honors at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
