Mary Merks

Mary Grace Merks, age 95 of McKees Rocks, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. Daughter of the late Patrick Foley and Anna Ludman Foley. Devoted wife of the late Wilbert Merks. Loving mother of Thomas (Carol) Merks and the late Raymond (Jayne) Merks. Dear “Gram” of Kimberly (Jason) Corrado, Kenneth (Clarice) Merks, Amy (Jonathan) Vojtecky, Kaitlyn (Eric) Boylan, Matthew (Ashley) Merks and the late Raymond Merks. Adoring great-grandmother of Dominic, Julianna, Alan, Abigail, Cora, Reese, Jack, Cole, Jace and Connor. Also survived by her dear niece, Susan Clutter, and many other special nieces and nephews. Mary was an excellent cook and baker and shared her talents with the public while employed for many years at Theresa’s Italian Bakery. Mary loved to play poker with her friends at her beloved “farm”. Mary was proud of the life she lived, proud of her family and proud of her Irish roots. When you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, please toast to her.
