Mary Joan Devlin

Mary Joan (Deigan) Devlin, age 88, of Kennedy Township, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023. Joan Devlin, wonderful wife of 70 years to her lifetime love, Vincent H. Devlin.  Loving mother to four daughters Kathleen (Jim) Mischler, Janet (the late Roger) LaBarge, Diane DiFiore and the late Debra Lynn Devlin; cherished grandmother of Megan (Ben) Jones, Ryan Mischler, M.D., Shane LaBarge, Brett LaBarge, Devlin DiFiore, and Dane DiFiore; great-grandmother of Fallon Jones and Pierce Jones; sister of James (the late Faith) Deigan, the late John “Jack” (the late Sylvia) Deigan, Thomas (the late Bobbie) Deigan, and Patricia (Butch) Williams. 

Family meant everything to Joan.  She loved with all of her heart and told her loved ones how special they were to her often.  She enjoyed spending her time traveling the world with her husband, Vince in their younger years, enjoyed family time at their swimming pool and looked forward to their weekly casino days to play the slot machines. 

She touched the lives of many through her kindness, sense of humor, skill for genuine conversation and talent as a real estate agent for Howard Hanna.  She was loved by many near and far.

Relatives and friends received Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 6-8 PM at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, 334 Forest Grove Road, Coraopolis (Kennedy Township), PA 15108.  Funeral prayer Friday, December 29, 2023 at 9 AM at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Archangel Gabriel Parish, St. Malachy Church, 343 Forest Grove Road, Kennedy Township.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joan’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or (www.stjude.org).
