Mary O. Culan

Age 106, of McKees Rocks, on September 4, 2017. She was the wife of the late John A. Culan; Mother of Michael (Verna), Paul (late Alyce), Martha, William, and the late John M. (surviving, Theodora) Culan; Grandmother of Susan (Robert) Musial, Barbara (Terry) Skwarcha, Kristin, Karin, Michael (Tracy), Paul, Beth (Steve) Shenefiel, and Becca; Great-grandmother of 13. Mary was the young heart of the family who made Sundays and holidays at Grandma’s memorable with the delicious meals she prepared. Expert at all kinds of needlework, she created ornaments and other items which she gave as gifts. She loved to travel, enjoyed her family and was always a joy to be around. She was very special to so many and a role model to us all. She will be dearly missed. Family will receive friends on WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1225 Chartiers Ave. McKees Rocks. Parastas THURSDAY at 7pm. Funeral Divine Liturgy FRIDAY in Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church at 11am. The family would like to thank Fr. Frank Firko, Bethany Hospice, and Tracy Byrne.
