Mary Ann Roman

Mary Ann (Nicholson) Roman, age 84, of Kennedy Township, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her immediate family on Friday, January 13, 2023.  Beloved wife of 55 years to the late Richard Charles Roman.  Loving mother of Patricia “Patty” Marie Leoni, her husband Jerry and the late Charles “Chuckie” Richard Roman; cherished grandmother of Casey Stephen Esposito Roman and Nikki Marie Warholak; sister of Irene (Ed) Jenkins, James William (Lois) Nicholson, and the late Lorraine Nicholson; aunt of Dorene Campbell, Dawn Cheri Campbell, Jimmy Nicholson, Johnny Nicholson, and Kelly Ann Nicholson; also survived by close family members Billy Kearns, Kathy Beckman, Judi Salera, Michelle Tonda and her dear friends Steve (Anne) Hrabak, Mary Ann Hutter, and Dolores Krall.  Mary Ann was an avid sports fan, bowler and bingo player.  She also enjoyed traveling around the world with her daughter.  Mary Ann always had a smile on her face and never had a negative word about anyone.  She was beloved by everyone that knew her and she will be dearly missed by her friends and family. The family would like to express their heartfelt thank you to Suncrest Hospice especially Jeanne Sprowls and Dave Holmes.   Relatives and friends received Friday, January 20, 2023, from 2-8 PM at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, 334 Forest Grove Road, Coraopolis (Kennedy Township), PA 15108.  Funeral prayer Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 9 AM at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial in Archangel Gabriel Parish, St. Mary, Help of Christians Church, 1011 Church Avenue, McKees Rocks, PA 15136.  In lieu of flowers, donations to a cause that is near and dear to her heart, that benefits substance abuse and mental health issues, may be made to the SAFE Project, 3118 Washington Blvd., P.O.
