On Friday, February 18, 2022, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s, Margaret passed away peacefully in her home as the sun was rising with her daughter by her side. She was the daughter of the late John and Antonia Byeseda. Margaret was preceded in death by her son, George. She is survived by her daughter and best friend, Judy Schneider, her grandchildren Lauren (Shawn) Hall and Greg Schneider and her daughter-in-law Cindy Harvan. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia Rakowsky and Caroline Seka, and her brothers, Stanley and Edward Byeseda. Margaret retired from Neville Chemical Company and went on to work at Giant Eagle Pharmacy and as a volunteer at Ohio Valley Hospital. Back in the day, she enjoyed cooking, shopping, traveling with her daughter and spending time with her grandchildren. In her later years, she enjoyed putting jigsaw puzzles together with Amy, watching tv crime dramas and eating sweets - she never said no to a piece of chocolate. Her daughter extends love and gratitude to Amy Magnelli Linner for the extraordinary care and friendship she gave to her mother. Special thanks also to Family Hospice of UPMC for their care and compassion during the last days of Margaret’s life. Friends are welcome for visitation at McDermotts Funeral Home, 334 Forest Grove Road, Kennedy Township, on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral mass will be at 10:00 am on Friday, February 25, 2022, at St. Malachy’s Church, Kennedy Township. Margaret was a kind and gentle soul who will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
