Lily J. Shearer

Age 89, peacefully passed away from a broken heart surrounded with her family by her side on May 12, 2017. Married for over 67 years to her beloved husband the late Edward G. Shearer Sr.; loving mother of Deb (Ken) McGowan, Douglas Shearer, Eddie (Judy) Shearer Jr., Lisa (Tony Andrejasik) Shearer; grandmother of Shawn (Natalie) McGowan, Tammy (Ralph) Yekel, Crystal McGowan, Winona (Dan) Lipner, Blaze Shearer, Shaina Shearer, Cheyenne Shearer, Eddie (Misty) Shearer III; great-grandmother of Ashley, Brandon, and Brittany Yekel, Kayleigh McGowan, Carson Lipner, Layla Shearer, Eddie Shearer IV; sister of Robert (Kathleen) Varga and the late Olga (John) Ambrozic. Visitation is private. Prayers will be offered TUESDAY at 9:00 a.m. at the McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1225 Chartiers Ave., McKees Rocks, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. John of God Parish, St. Mary’s Church.
