Liliosa Macadangdang

Age 97, of McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania died peacefully on May 27, 2022, preceded in death by Andres R.  They were married for 78 years.
Beloved mother of Aida (Nestor) DeVera, Lola Morrow, Marilyn Means, Robert (Lynn),  Reynald, and Roland; grandmother to Neyrissa, Maria, Neyrchel, Jose Jr., J. Brian, Nicole, Benjamin, Jaime, Jesse, Chad, and Eric; and great-grandmother to 18 beautiful great-grandchildren.
Liliosa valued the importance of family and prayer. These values provided her strength to survive an invasion during WWII and everyday hardship in the Philippines. Soon after, she would marry, earn a master’s degree and raise a family.  In 1971, she started a new life half a world away in Pittsburgh, PA  in order to provide the best opportunities for her 6 children.
Her career included teaching college English in the Philippines and teaching in the U.S. Residing in and serving the community of McKees Rocks, she helped establish the non-profit, F.O.R. (Focus on Renewal) & retired after 35 years. She worked tirelessly for nearly three-quarters of a century to teach and empower others to find their fullest potential in life. Her strength, love, and kindness will live through her family and continue to shape many lives. Visitation Monday June 6th, 2022, 2pm - 4pm & 6pm - 8pm at McDermott Funeral Home - Kennedy Township Location (334 Forest Grove Rd, Coraopolis, PA 15108)
Burial Friday June 10th, 2022 2:00pm at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies (1158 Morgan Rd Bridgeville, PA 15017)
