McKees Rocks
Karen M. Logue, age 62, of McKees Rocks, on Friday, March 8, 2024, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Beloved daughter of Elizabeth "Lorraine" (Taylor) Logue and the late Alvin Logue. Loving sister of Thomas (Barb) Logue, Linda (Paul) Madonna, Barbara (Jim) Diecks, Maribeth (Sonny) Taylor, and Kimberly (Patrick) Bosetti. Cherished aunt of Pam Barone, Paul (Joen) Madonna, Tom (Lynne) Logue, Jim (Christine) Diecks, Dan Taylor, Nicole (Alex) Ramos, Brian Taylor, Sarah (Matt) Bell, Hannah (Dale) Rebeta, Bradley (Sarah Derrick) Bosetti, and Dr. Rebecca Bosetti; great-nieces and nephews. We would like to thank her cousins Debbie Spisak and Matthew Taylor who were close friends and supporters in life and during her illness. Karen embodied the best of qualities, unconditional love and an unending generosity. She had immense passion for her family. Her nieces and nephews were her pride and joy and she celebrated their every achievement, constantly cheering them on.
Karen was a major Pittsburgh Sports Fan, especially of the Pirates and never gave up hope for a winning season. She was a champion (if unconventional) Yahtzee player. She loved to travel and was up for any adventure, but her favorite was Conneaut Lake where she spent so many days with family. Karen loved McKees Rocks and participated in Community Clean-Up days, neighborhood watch and attended council meetings. She was a wonderful neighborhood ambassador, greeting everyone on her daily walks and hoping to spot a few deer. She welcomed every newcomer and accepted everyone with an open heart and big smile. She will be forever missed by her family and countless others who loved her. We greatly appreciate your support during this difficult time and ask that in lieu of flowers, contributions in Karen's memory may be made to Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research (www.lustgarten.org).
The family wishes to acknowledge the 9th floor Cancer Unit Staff at AGH for the loving care Karen received during her stays and to the AGH Hospice staff, especially Michelle who cared for her during her final days.
