John "Dick" Adams

Age 85, of McKees Rocks, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017. He was the beloved husband of the late Regina (Laffey); loving father of Nancy (Bruce) Galba, Paul “Bucky” (Denise), Eileen (Bernie) Mackowiak, Jean Ann (Bill) Shaw, Richard (Loretta), Christopher (Tammy), and the late Lori Ann; 15 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. Dick thoroughly enjoyed ice skating, golfing, watching old classic movies, and spending time with his family. Dick served in the Army during the Korean War and was the longtime chaplain of the McKees Rocks VFW Vesle Post 418. Family and friends will be received 1-8 PM SUNDAY at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1225 Chartiers Avenue, McKees Rocks, where prayers will be offered at 11:00 AM MONDAY, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Robinson Township. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the McKees Rocks VFW Vesle Post 418, 1242 Chartiers Avenue, McKees Rocks, Pa 15136.
