John "Jack" Collins, Jr.

John F. "Jack" Collins, Jr., age 96, of Kennedy Township, peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2023 surrounded by his family.  Beloved husband of 66 years to Margaret “Peg” (Morrow) Collins.  Loving father of Robert (Laura) and John (Barb) Collins; grandfather of Sean, Jamie, Nick, and Megan; brother of the late Walter Collins; also survived by 3 nieces.  Jack was an active member of St. Malachy Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Eucharistic Minister, and past Chairman of the Parish Festivals at St. Malachy.  He also volunteered at the former Ohio Valley Hospital, played Santa Claus at St. Malachy’s, and coached Little League Baseball.  Relatives and friends received Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, 334 Forest Grove Road, Kennedy Township.  Funeral prayer Thursday 11 AM at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 12 PM in Archangel Gabriel Parish, St. Malachy Church, Kennedy Township.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack’s memory may be made to charity of donor’s choice.
