Irene J. Leja

Irene J. (Estock) Leja, Age 97, of Stowe Township, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on Thursday, March 28, 2024.   Beloved wife of  69 years to the late Emil Leja.  Loving mother of Emily (Bill) Love, Ken (Christine) Leja, Tim (Denise) Leja, Jim (Barbara) Leja; grandmother of Amanda Morse, David Kearn, Brandon Leja, Ian (Kristen) Leja, Brooke (Ryan) Prunty, Timothy Leja, Jr., and Lindsey (Kevin) DiMaria: great-grandchildren Dougie, Jaxon, Emily Jordan, Rhett, Briggs, and Parker; sister of Donna (Russ) Kosarycz and the late Bill (Clara) Estock: also survived by nieces and nephews.  Irene enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening. Irene always worried about others and cared for many.   She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.  Relatives and friends received Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 8:30 - 9:30 AM at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, 334 Forest Grove Road, Coraopolis (Kennedy Township) PA 15108.  Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday April 6, 2024 at 10 AM in Archangel Gabriel Parish, St. Malachy Church, 343 Forest Grove Road, Kennedy Township.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Irene’s memory may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N.
