Harry J. Holmes, Sr.

Age 82, of Kennedy Twp., on August 5, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family after a brave battle with Parkinsons. Beloved husband of the late Anna Mae Holmes; loving father of Cheryl (Chuck) Schallus, Harry J. Holmes, Jr., Cindy (Bill) Holmes Dawkin, and Daniel R. (Michelle) Holmes; dear grandfather of Christopher, Joshua, Nicholas, Elysha, Presley Anna, Brian and Steven; great-grandfather of Brandon, Paighton, Chase, Ryan; beloved son of the late Robert and Grace (Sousa) Holmes, brother of Donald Holmes, Thelma McKnight, Shirley Knight, and the late Ronald and Robert Holmes. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and his caretakers, Elysha, Linda, Traci and Tatum. The family would like to thank the loving and caring staff of Heartland Hospice. Family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on SUNDAY, 2-4 and 6-8 pm on MONDAY at the McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 334 Forest Grove Rd., Kennedy Twp, where funeral services will be held TUESDAY at 10 am.
