Frances M. (Mobrey) Burke, 81, formerly of Robinson Township and affectionately known as “Narf,” passed away peacefully in League City, Texas, on September 26, 2022, with family at her side. Born June 29, 1941, she was preceded in death by Paul (“Boom”), husband of 52 years; parents William and Minerva Mobrey; and sister Mary Katherine (“Kay”).
A graduate of St. Paul Cathedral High School and Duquesne University, Fran thoroughly enjoyed her work as a professional paralegal and was actively involved in Robinson Township community life for many years, serving as a Montour School Board Director and Robinson Township Commissioner, as well as being a founding member of the Robinson Township Library and Library Board. She was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church (now Archangel Gabriel Parish) in Robinson Township and enjoyed being a member of Holy Trinity Ladies Guild.
Survived by her loving sister, Johanna (John) Messina; her five children, William (Karen), Lynn (David) Kolich, Kathy (John) Birmingham, Martin (Janet), and Matthew (JoAnn); her grandchildren, Derek, Eliot (Amanda), Mackenzie, Austin and William Burke, Brian and Grace Kolich, Madeleine and Patrick Birmingham, Bailey, Kali and Brendan Burke, Liam and Lexi Burke; great-grandson, Carson Burke, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Narf loved being involved in her community and church, rooting for the Steelers and Penguins, attending Pittsburgh Pops Symphony and Broadway Series shows, gardening, and traveling with Boom to spend time with her kids and grandkids, especially looking forward to her frequent trips to her adopted second home of Houston, Texas.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Archangel Gabriel Parish / Holy Trinity Church, 5718 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136.
