Eve Monks

Age 60, passed away peacefully on Friday August 5th, 2022 after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer. She is the beloved wife of Bob Monks and adored mother to Lauren Monks, Elizabeth Vogt (John), and Robby Monks. She is also survived by her brothers, Joseph Martin (Leann) and Steven Martin (Mary). Preceded in death by her parents Leonard Jr. and Peggy Martin. She will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, her pets, as well as grand pets. Eve’s life’s work is reflected in her children and those she inspired with her abounding love. She was a passionate advocate for the arts and social change, a talented writer, and was committed to keeping herself and others informed of the inner workings of the world. Eve leaves behind a legacy of pure love and devotion to family, caring for others, and living life authentically. “Everything we do, we do for love. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Eve’s honor to the American Cancer Society or UPMC Hillman Cancer Center.
