Elizabeth Louise Connors Dorgan (“Betty Lou” or Lizzie”), age 96, died peacefully with her family by her side at the Caring Heights Nursing Facility. She is survived by her three children: Dana Jeffreys (Rob), Tim Dorgan, and Cindy Rago (L.J.), four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews all of whom she loved dearly. She is predeceased by her parents, Thomas (“Babe”) Connors and Marguerite O’Toole. Originally from Mt. Washington where she attended St. Mary’s of the Mount School. She retired in 1991 from Mellon Institute where she worked in the Testing Monitoring Center. She was loved by her family and friends and all who knew her. Betty Lou loved to read and root for the Pittsburgh Steelers. She had a strong sense of humor, was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need and always had a kind word to make you feel better. She loved to sing and passed on her appreciation for music to her children and grandchildren. Most important to her was how proud she was of her family. She was an incredible mother, grandmother, and aunt. She leaves behind a wealth of treasured memories.
Family and Friends are welcome to visit 11 AM to 1 PM Saturday, March 26, 2022 at McDermott Funeral Home Inc., 334 Forest Grove Rd., Kennedy Township. A memorial service will take place at 12:30 PM at the funeral home the same day.
