DREWANDA (MATTIE) KELLEY

Drewanda (Mattie) Kelley, 84 of Chartiers City departed this earth on Tuesday February 21, 2017. Born August 3rd, 1932 to the late George and Dottie Washington of McDonald, Pa. Mattie is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Franklin Kelley, and her son Irvin Russell Kelley as well as her daughter Denise Noreen Turner. In addition Mattie is preceded in death by her five brothers and four sisters, George, Hiram, Benjamin, Willard and Saul, Nettie, Carrie, Alberta and Mary. Ms, Mattie is survived by her 2 sons, Stanley Edward Kelley and wife Hosezella, and Joseph Franklin Kelley Jr. Also surviving her is her sister in law Georgie Washington, whom she remained extremely close. She has 4 grandchildren, Drewanda Chevelle (Candy) Kelley of Wilmington DE, Toya Lynn Kelley of Pottstown PA, Tiffany Ann Wilson of Pittsburgh PA, and Christian Isaiah Kelley of Montgomery AL, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Mattie was employed by Teledyne Industries for approximately 20 years before retiring, where she devoted her life to serving the Lord. Ms. Mattie loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Trinity AME Zion Church for over 35 years, She was a member of the Choir for many years where she sang for the Lord with her beautiful voice. She was so proud and honored to be the Mother of the Church. Friends will be received at McDermott Funeral Home on Thursday, 4:00-8:00pm followed by services on Saturday at 11 a.m.at Trinity AME Zion Church.
