Dorothy "Jean" Sullivan

Dorothy "Jean" (Van Jura) Sullivan, age 89, of Kennedy Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the Wexford Healthcare Center.  She was born in Pittsburgh on August 8, 1933.  Beloved wife of 71 years to John C. Sullivan.  Loving mother of David (Shirley) Sullivan, Sharon (Bradley) Capan, and the late John E. Sullivan who passed away in 2013; cherished grandmother of Brad (fiancée Rochelle Nestel) Capan, Jr. Staci (Mark) Scarantino, Lesly (Steve) Kasky, Keith and Scott Sullivan; great-grandmother of Emma, Maddox and Mila.  Dorothy “Jean” enjoyed cooking, baking and loved spending time and caring for her family.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.  Relatives and friends received Monday 3-6 PM at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, 334 Forest Grove Road, Coraopolis (Kennedy Township), PA 15108.  Funeral prayer Tuesday 11:30 AM at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 12 PM in Archangel Gabriel Parish, St. Malachy Church, 344 Forest Grove Road, Kennedy Township.  Interment to follow in The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
