Cyril R. Stadler

89, of Pittsburgh, passed away, Saturday, February 5, 2022.  He was the beloved husband of the late Elsie (Giedl-Bauer); loving father of Linda (the late Paul) Gallick; cherished Pap of Shannon (Dennis) Watt, and Rebecca (Adam) Rudy; great-grandfather of Carson and Keira Watt, and Scarlett and Silas Rudy;  and uncle to many nieces and nephews.  Cyril is survived by his siblings, Rita Kasicky, Dan Stadler and Ruth Carrington.  He was preceded in death by siblings, Paul Stadler, Regis Stadler, Bernard Stadler and Cecelia Rahuba.  Cyril was very proud of the time he spent as a sheet metal worker, and continued being active in the union well after retirement.  One of his greatest joys was helping others and spending time with his family.

Family and friends may visit TUESDAY, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 334 Forest Grove Rd., Kennedy Twp., where prayers will be offered WEDNESDAY, 10:00 AM, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30, at Archangel Gabriel Parish / St. Marys Help of Christians Church.  Please be prepared to adhere to all CDC guidelines, including wearing a mask.

When I think back to the Crest Air days, one of the first people I think of is Zeke. I don't remember Crest Air, or Ward Industries without him. He was a very faithful, hard worker and very much respected. His kind doesn't exist anymore, unfortunately. I'm sure the old Crest Air gang including my dad and brother are very glad to see him again. I know you must be proud of him and I'm so sorry for your loss.

I was sorry to hear of Uncle Cyril's passing. I'll always picture him when we were kids and he would drive his baby blue Cadillac convertible to our house armed with candy treats!. We were all so happy for him when he met and married Elsie with a family that he loved and cherished. May he rest in peace.
