Cheryl Pochatko

Cheryl Ann (Young) Pochatko, age 74, of Stowe Township, passed away peacefully at home after a long illness on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 surrounded by her family.  Beloved wife of 54 years to Edward Paul Pochatko.  Loving mother of Amy Lynn (Kevin) Hatch and Jeremy (Christina) Pochatko; cherished grandmother of Christopher, Austin, Evie, Charlie, and David; great-grandmother of Hailey, Logan, Oliver, and Ethan; sister of Curtis (Lori) Young; also survived by nieces and nephew.  She was a graduate of Charleroi High School Class of 1966.  Cheryl retired from Quest Diagnostic after 28 years of service and was the organist for many years at Community of Christ Church. She loved music especially on the organ and piano.  Cheryl was a kind and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Celebration of Cheryl’s Life will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 11 AM in Community of Christ Church, 1805 Tonopah Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15216.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Cheryl’s memory may be made to Huntington’s Disease Society of America, 505 Eighth Avenue, Suite 902, New York, NY 10018 (www.hdsa.org) or Grane Hospice Care, 260 Alpha Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15238 (www.granehospice.com).
