Charlotte J. McClelland (Wolf)

Age 70, of Kennedy Township, passed away October 11, 2022, following a brief illness. 

Charlotte was born April 6, 1952, in McKees Rocks, Pa to Jacob and Margaret Wolf.  Upon graduating from Sto-Rox Jr/Sr High School in 1970, Charlotte went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Slippery Rock University and her master’s degree in Mathematics from Duquesne University.

Charlotte’s teaching career began at St. Francis de Sale’s in Mckees Rocks, Pa, she also taught at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (formerly St. Luke School) in Carnegie, Pa and was a classroom aide and substitute teacher at Holy Trinity Catholic School (now known as Archangel Gabriel) in Robinson Township, Pa.

In 1974, Charlotte married her high school sweetheart, Robert (Bob) McClelland in McKees Rocks, Pa.  Char and Bob went on to have two wonderful sons David (who preceded her in death) and Michael.

In 2017, Charlotte retired and spent her time with her husband, Bob.  Son and daughter-in-law Michael and Amity, and the three joys of her life – her grandchildren - Madelyn, Ava, and Maura.  She was an active board member in the Montour/Robinson AARP Chapter 4820, as well as a member of the McKees Rocks AARP Chapter 2203.  Charlotte enjoyed riding in the passenger seat of her and Bob’s 1930 and 1931 Ford Model A’s on many trips as part of the Three Rivers Region Ford Model A Restorer’s Club where they are also active members.

Charlotte was predeceased by her loving parents, Jacob and Margaret Wolf.  Her son, David McClelland, and her brother, Donald Wolf. She is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, Robert McClelland, son Michael (Amity) McClelland, and granddaughters Madelyn, Ava, and Maura McClelland.

Family and friends received 2-4 & 6-8 PM FRIDAY at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 334 Forest Grove Road, Kennedy Twp., Coraopolis, PA 15108.  Mass of Christian Burial 12:30 PM, Saturday at Archangel Gabriel Parish / St. Malachy Church.  Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Face mask is required for visitation.
