Benedict J. "Buzzy" Roney

Age 83, of Robinson Twp., on Thursday, January 13, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Mary Ellen (Potts); father of Linda (Donald) Bernard, Kathleen (David) Van Dusen and John Roney; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother of Lucille Melynchek and the late Dolores Meehan. Family and friends received 6-8 p.m. SATURDAY and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. SUNDAY at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 334 Forest Grove Road, Kennedy Twp., where prayers will be offered at 9:20 a.m. Monday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions be made to the St. Rose of Lima Church youth group, 3357 Constitution Blvd., Darlington, PA 16115 or to the Holy Trinity Church youth group, 5718 Steubenville Pike, McKees Rocks, PA 15136. Mr. Roney proudly served his country with the US Army during WWII and was an Iron Worker with Local # 3.
