Anita Corinda Macklin

Anita Corinda (Macino) Macklin, peacefully, on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, surrounded by her children, grandchildren and brother, Anita Corinda (Macino) Macklin, age 90 of Kennedy Township, received her angel wings. Beloved wife of the late William Donald Macklin, loving mother of Anita M. Rush (Carl M. Caldrone) (the late Thomas J.), Carol L. Keating (late Robert T, Jr.), Eileen Snyder (Philip), Diane Justice (Ronald), Nancy, William (Amy), Michael (Lori) and Daniel (Gina); grandmother of Diane Michele and Jackie Rush, Jennifer Keating, Angel Wissel, Kimberly Keating-Best, Robert Keating III, Dana Bohasky, Season Hulbert, Shana Bittner, Sharon Wiernik, Amy Gramz, Ronald and Anthony Justice, James Fleming III, Anthony and Michael Macklin, Michael Mull, Jamie Mills, Danielle Darras, Scott Holtkamp, Patricia Medlin and the late Joseph J. Rodgers III (Chaz) and 35 great-grandchildren. Anita was born May 3, 1933 to Dominic and Caroline Macino; she was the sister of Clare Stawowczyk, Carl V. Macino, Rose M. Leeds and the late Lawrence J. Macino, Marie Streppa, Evelyn Vannosdel, Violet Hanis, Robert Macino, Carol Hanley, Dominic Macino, Jr., and Ann Moran. She will also be missed by special niece Lillian (Cookie) Pfeifer, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Anita was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Philip Church and loved bringing Christ to the sick, incarcerated and everyone she knew. Anita loved setting up the altar and having the priest say monthly mass at Crafton Towers for the residents, when she resided there. She loved her family dearly and they and her faith were at the forefront of her life. She lived a beautiful life of faith with great devotion to Our Lord and the Blessed Mother. When she could no longer walk to mass every day, she participated in daily Mass at home, followed by the Holy Rosary. She was a member of the Hail Mary Club and the Legion of Mary. Relatives and friends received Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from 1-8 PM at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, 334 Forest Grove Road, Coraopolis (Kennedy Township), PA 15108. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 11 AM in St. Philip Parish, Ascension Catholic Church, 114 Berry Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15205. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Moon Township.
