Alberta (Giedl) Veltum

Age 92, of, Green Tree, formerly Mckees Rocks, passed on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Harry; loving mother of Elaine (John) Coppler, and the late Harry (late Cookie) Veltum; cherished grandmother of Chris (Lindsey) and Kevin (Nicole) Coppler, Missy (Jamie) Varner, Corey (Lindy) Veltum and Jess (Dan) Perestock; proud great grandmother of Audra and Liam Coppler, Ava, Caleb and Elise Varner, Leo and Ruby Veltum and Evelyn, Anna, Charlotte and Sophia Perestock; also many loving nieces and nephews. Alberta was the last surviving sibling of the late Anna Lex , Joseph Giedl, Mary Braunstein, John Giedl, Josephine Frankl, Julia Lyscik, Raymond Giedl, Leo Giedl and Elsie Stadler. Alberta enjoyed working crossword puzzles, watching TV game shows and baking cookies for the holidays but most important for family weddings. 

Relatives and friends received Friday, March 15, 2024, 1-3 & 5-7 PM at McDERMOTT FUNERAL HOME, 334 Forest Grove Road, Coraopolis (Kennedy Township), PA 15108.  Funeral prayer 11 AM on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 12 PM in Archangel Gabriel Parish, St Mary Help of Christians Church, 1011 Church Avenue, McKees Rocks.
