 ALBERT J. HEIGL

Age 89, of McKees Rocks, peacefully, on Thursday, June 10, 2021, son of the late Mary E. (Martonik) Heigl and the late Emrich Heigl; brother of Elizabeth J. Reis and the late Hilda M. Fleiner, and the late Edward Heigl. “Uncle Al” was loved and cherished by his many nieces and nephews and their children.

A caring and gentle man, Albert loved to follow all the Pittsburgh sports teams, especially the Steelers and the Pirates. He spent over the last decade of his life at The Willows in Kennedy Township, where he befriended and helped many of the residents.

The family thanks the staff of The Willows for his good care over these years and also the staff at Good Samaritan Hospice during his last days.

No flowers, donations to favorite charity.

Family will receive friends 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM MONDAY at the McDermott Funeral Home, Inc., 1225 Chartiers Avenue, McKees Rocks. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:30 PM, Archangel Gabriel Parish, St. Mary’s Help of Christian’s Church.  Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
